GVEI of Sri Giriappa Gowder Educational & Charitable Trust is established with the objective of creating an academic institution, where the child can find a suitable ambience for the overall development of personality, so as to contribute to a healthy nation. A great visionary and social reformer, late Sri Giriappa Gowder, left an indelible mark in the minds of all those who came in contact with him. Born in a poor family in a remote village in Hassan District, Karnataka, he migrated to the then new land, Nilgiris (Ooty), where he earned a niche, which has become an icon for all achievers.

Believing in the Gandhian philosophy & trusteeship, he distributed all his earnings, not only among his kinsmen but also, among all those who worked with him crossing the barriers of caste, creed, race, religion and language. Sri G. Giriappa Gowder propagated a philosophy of egalitarian order and growth.

Sri M. Venkatesh hails from the city of Mysore. He has done his schooling and college in Mysore. He is M.A. in Geography and also has done B.Ed. He started his career as a lecturer and worked for 12 long years.

Sri M. Venkatesh the Vice-Chairman, he is trying translate his dream of a model education institution into a reality, where every child becomes efficient, self-motivated, self-reliant, disciplined and excellent individual.

He is working tirelessly and ceaselessly to give Mysore a centre of learning, an institution which one-day will set International standards.
